We believe that they're the true leaders of their communities, and by supporting and uplifting them, we can make a positive impact on the students and families they serve, and ultimately, on our communities at large.

As someone who has started an education business myself, I know firsthand how important it is to have access to the right support and guidance. When I first launched The Lit Advocate, I felt lost and overwhelmed, unsure of how to organize, automate, and promote my services. I missed the camaraderie I felt as a classroom teacher, and all the unplanned pep-talks my veteran teacher-colleagues gifted me when I needed them most. With no experience ever running a biz, I desperately wished for that same kind of camaraderie and guidance from a more experienced education entrepreneur. 

So when we created edTonomy, we understood from the outset that two of our main priorities would be: 

1. Creating a community of teacherpreneurs that would unite under a common goal - whether they run tutoring businesses, lead microschools, offer consultancy services or design curriculum - and provide them with a platform for sharing knowledge, collaborating, and supporting each other.
